I'm being asked to pay — but I expected free access

What to do if you see a payment screen after completing the quiz but expected free or beta access.

Written by Support

If you just completed the quiz and are now seeing a payment or subscription screen when you expected free access, here's how to get sorted.

If you were invited to beta / early access

Beta and early-access users are granted access manually by our team. If you received an invite but are still seeing a paywall:

  1. Sign out and sign back in. Access changes sometimes require a fresh session to take effect.

  2. Make sure you're signed in with the same email address your invite was sent to. Beta access is tied to a specific account.

  3. Try refreshing the page after signing back in.

  4. Still seeing the paywall? Message us in chat or email [email protected] with the subject line "Beta access not showing." We'll fix it within a few hours.

If the payment screen appeared immediately after submitting the quiz

This is expected — Rituala is a paid app and the quiz result is your personalized routine. The paywall appears after the quiz for new users who haven't yet selected a plan.

If you believe you should have free access (for example, you were granted beta access or redeemed a promo code), follow the beta access steps above.

If you had a promo or discount code

  1. On the payment screen, look for a promo/discount code field and enter your code.

  2. If the field isn't visible or the code isn't working, email [email protected] with your code and we'll apply it manually.

If you've already paid and are seeing a paywall again

  1. Sign out and sign back in — this resolves most cases where a subscription isn't recognized.

  2. Make sure you're signed in with the same email used at purchase.

  3. If the issue persists, email [email protected] with your original purchase email and we'll confirm your subscription status and restore access.

Access issues are almost always account or session related and quick to fix. Don't hesitate to reach out — we want you in the app, not stuck at a paywall.
